Help! I'm so scared.
Due to some spotting (seems to have stopped, knock on wood), I went for a transvaginal u/s yesterady at 5 wks, 2 days (23 DPO). I also had bloodwork. My numbers were 12,000, but the doctor only saw a gestational sac. NO yolk sac. He doesn't seem terribly concerned, especially b/c my uterus is tipped so he said the angle was funny (can that really matter with a transvaginal?).
But I'm terrified of a blighted ovum! I've already had a miscarriage. And I read somewhere that the yolk sac can always be seen by an HCG above approximately 7,500.
Here was the sequence of my HCG:
11 DPO -- 53
15 DPO -- 338
23 DPO -- 12,000 (approximately)
By the way, the last couple of days my bbs have become decreasingly sore, and my nipples, which had been growing, look smaller again!!!
I AM SO SCARED. My next u/s isn't until Friday.
